Boria Majumdar is a professor at the University of Central Lancashire in England, cricket historian and author of many books on the subject (A Social History of Indian Cricket, Lost Histories of Indian Cricket: Battles of the Pitch, The Illustrated History of Indian Cricket or Cricketing Cultures in Conflict: the 2003 World Cup) .
